Find me on:

In this installment of our People of Everise Tenured Champions Edition, we're featuring Jose "Joe" Ortiz, Senior Quality Manager from Guatemala! As a tenured Champion, Joe has been part of our Everise family for over 8 years. During his tenure, he has grown alongside our organization, having been promoted multiple times and experiencing pivotal roles that helped him develop his skills and evolve with us.

In our interview with Joe, he shares personal details about his Everise journey, why he chose to stay with us, and what drives him to succeed as part of our company.

Outside of work, Joe has multiple hobbies. In his spare time, he would find comfort in more stationary hobbies such as reading comic books and playing video games. He eventually developed an interest in more athletic activities, which helped him stay active and lead a healthier lifestyle.

"Before in my spare time, I used to read a lot of comic books and play video games. But with the amount of time that I was spending, sitting for that and working here, I'm really into running now. I'm actually just starting to train for a triathlon next year."

During Joe's tenure, he took on multiple roles that helped him develop his skills and grow in his career. Through his promotions, he learned life-changing opportunities, which he took with him as he continued to evolve with Everise and his fellow Champions.

"I started out as a Training Quality Supervisor here, then I got promoted to a manager position, and I just got promoted to the senior manager position. So I've seen a lot of growth and in the company and a lot of learning opportunities, especially with my team. We started with less than 10 people. I have over 50 people now."

Joe also shares his experience with the training we have at Everise Guatemala. For Joe, the culture and mentality we have are vital for our Champions to grow into what they need to be in order to provide excellent customer service. Our leadership teams understand what it takes to help our Champions evolve into the best versions of themselves.

"So I think that part of the board that we have with the trainers when they're starting with the position is not only the skill set that they need to have to deliver the class to reports, things like that, but also make sure that they understand the culture and the mentality that we have for both Everise and the client that they're going to be supported by them understanding how is it that we want to feel and sound like it's a lot easier for them to mirror that those same behaviors with what the people that's in the class."

When asked about why he stayed with us for over 8 years, Joe shares that our culture was vital for his decision. Joe's experience throughout his career helped him understand what's best for our people and has contributed to his evolution as part of our organization.

"I think there have been a lot of changes as far as the culture goes. I think that every one of mine has always been a people-oriented company, and that has been the core of what we do and how we do things. But I think that a lot of the processes that have been implemented, a lot of things that we do, and how we do them have changed to make a better experience for the people working here. "

At Everise, we ensure that we put the spotlight on the people behind our success. That’s why we are featuring employees from different walks of life and shedding a little light on the people of Everise. Learn more about our Guatemala Center and our people just like Joe today!
