Find me on:

In this episode of our Live From Our Living Room Series, we’re featuring one of our long-time champions who is familiar with remote work and was the first work-at-home Team Lead from Salt Lake City.

Meet Christina Hackwell, Operations Supervisor for Everise. Christina has been featured in a previous episode of our People of Everise Series and is still with the company to this day. In this episode of our LFOLR Series, she invited us into her home for a quick chat to catch up with her.

Christina has had a lot of new experiences and interests since we last talked with her. She has developed a newfound love for sports, particularly in playing disc golf. She was introduced to it by someone she dated, and since then, she has invested a lot of time in learning and getting better at playing disc golf.

“I like to play disc golf. I will go three to four times a week to any field in Salt Lake City and play nine to eighteen holes to improve my score. I went on a date and was introduced to the sport, and I fell in love with it. And since then, I’ve bought a million discs and a disc bag, and I continually try to improve my game."

Christina also talked about the improvement of calls while working from home. According to Christina, she and her team were still able to serve their clients and take the same volume of phone calls as they were when they were working from the office. She also shared that the call quality improved at home since there is less background noise, compared to working in the office where other calls are taking place.

“The quality of our phone calls is just as great. Actually, they’re better because we’re in our own office space. There’s no background noise, and there are no other phone conversations that can be heard by the caller. You don’t have to worry about any of that.”

When asked about her thoughts on working from home, Christina shares that it has brought a lot of comforts that wouldn’t have been present if she was working in the office. She shares that being a work-at-home champion for Everise has been a great opportunity, and it helped her focus more on her work.

"I love working from home. I’m able to wake up and get ready for my day, have my coffee, and sit down at my workstation. I don’t have to drive anywhere, I don’t have to fight with traffic, I don’t have to worry about anything just getting to work, and it’s pretty easy."

At Everise, we ensure that we put the spotlight on the people behind our success. That’s why we are featuring employees from different walks of life and shedding a little light on the people of Everise. Learn more about our award-winning culture and our people just like Christina today!
