People of Everise | Yuko Kamogawa | Kuala Lumpur

Meet Yuko Kamogawa, a Trainer for Everise. Before becoming a part of Everise, Yuko was originally from Japan, specifically in the historical city of Odawara, found in Kanagawa Prefecture. Growing up surrounded by old castles that date back to the Kamakura period, she has developed a strong appreciation of culture and language at an early age.

But it’s not only her own culture that she grew to love, Yuko also learned to appreciate the customs and traditions of other cultures as well. This appreciation stems from her early exposure to different cultures through the friends of her mother.

Yuko's natural curiosity for new experiences also made her more adventurous and fearless. That's why after finishing her studies in Japan, she went abroad to study more and to learn about different cultures.

“I grew up with multicultural friends because my mom has a lot of friends from everywhere. So, I grew up in English and my mom sent me to English classes. But I was interested to go to other countries so when I finished my school, I went to US and Canada to study. And now I’m here,” Yuko explained.

Her passion and love for learning diverse cultures are just some of the qualities that make her perfect as a multilingual and multicultural Champion for Everise. As a trainer, she is tasked to mold and develop hundreds of people from different backgrounds, nationalities, and cultures, but Yuko is undaunted by the role. If anything, it even drives her to be better.

“I finished training a hundred different people, a hundred Japanese people. Everyone has different face, different mind, different thought, and different way of studying. And accent. How they talk is different also. So, seeing them is quite interesting and especially teaching them.”

At Everise, we ensure that we put the spotlight on the people behind our success. That’s why we are featuring employees from different walks of life and shedding a little light on the people of Everise.
