Business travel around the world has come to a standstill in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Movement restrictions and lockdowns and have kept business travellers at home, with 93% of companies reporting that they have cancelled all or most of their business trips, according to a survey conducted last month by the Global Business Travel Association.

However, touring facilities remains an integral part of the outsourcing industry, enabling our partners to evaluate the culture that will be powering their customer experience.

Not to be deterred, we leaned into our “incubate innovation” culture and launched X-Bot - an immersive way for our partners and prospects to tour our centers.

“When we tour, we hand the control over to our partners, who control a robot that is manoeuvred around the center,” Everise Founder and CEO, Sudhir Agarwal says. “X-Bot enables us to replicate that personal experience, ensuring it answers their unique requirements.”

Currently, X-Bot resides in Austin, Texas, Everise’s Product Experience (PX) Hub, which just prior to the lockdowns, was recently renovated.

“So far the response has been great,” Agarwal adds, “we’re excited to be showing off our newly upgraded facilities.”

As movement restrictions ease and travel bans are lifted, Everise is remaining prudent, keeping their Experience Center capacity low, to ensure the continued safety of their people.

“Moving forward, Everise firmly believe that the optimal outsourcing strategy is one that is both globally distributed and blended between work-at-home and brick-and-mortar. We are aiming to maintain 50 percent of our Everisers in a home-based model.”
